Foucault(s) 1984-2014

International Symposium

Where is the thought of Foucault in 2014? Far from wanting to build a funerary monument for philosophy with these three days, and firmly convinced that that these commemorations are too often only the confession of our own inability to preserve what makes philosophy both a requirement and an emergency of thought, today we would like to sketch the most broad and diverse overview of Foucault studies possible. A landscape in the form of an “open yard”, crossed by extremely varied lines of problemization, but which all express, each in their own way, what Foucault still teaches us today about our present: a present that, however, has not been his for a very long time.
