Joyeux animaux de la misère
Premiere
Pierre Guyotat imagined a cheerful comedy, a precise system of raw dialogues, a “tit for tat” where masters and truck drivers, male and female prostitutes, husbands and fathers, fugitives, murderers, and monsters all busy themselves. At the edge of a seedy neighborhood in a big city, in the midst of nocturnal confusion, Rosario’s adventures begin. “I wrote this text in simple language, in one sitting without doing anything else, like doing an exercise to relax while writing a longer work, Géhenne, that will be published soon: its impetuousness, its elation will be felt, I hope, in this exclusive happiness”. Stanislas Nordey inhabits the unique rhythm of the language used in Joyeux animaux de la misère in an electronic landscape.
