Discovered in 1986 in Electre by Antoine Vitez, her professor at the Théâtre national de Chaillot, Valérie Dréville is one of the top French actresses of her generation. Three years after her breakthrough, she joined the Comédie française where she would remain until 1995. Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity of working with great names in theater and film such Claude Régy, Jean-Luc Godard, and Philippe Garrel.

Valérie Dréville also works abroad. In 1992, she travelled to Russia where she met the producer Antoli Vassilev. Since then, they have worked together and presented Heiner Muller’s Médée-Matériau in 2002 and then in 2007, Thérèse philosophe by Jean-Baptiste de Boyer. In 2008, she was the artist associated with the 62nd Festival d’Avignon. In 2013, she performed in Les Revenants (based on Henrik Ibsen) by Thomas Ostermeier, and Schwanengesang D744 by Romeo Castellucci at the Festival d’Avignon.
