Rendezvous: Klangforum Wien, June 20
With his diplomas in piano and choral conducting completed, Pasquale Corrado studied composition at the Milan Conservatory under Alessandro Solbiati, orchestral conducting under Daniele Agiman for whom he would later become the assistant on numerous symphonic and operatic productions. Since 2009, he has perfected his training as a composer under Ivan Fedele at the Sainte Cécile Academy of Rome. In 2010, he began studying in Stefano Gervasoni’s class at the Paris Conservatory (Cnsmdp). Corrado has also taken master classes with Luca Francesconi, Luis De Pablo, Luis Andriessen, Frédéric Durieux, and Helmut Lachenmann.
In addition to his activities as a composer and conductor (that have led him to work with numerous ensembles in Italy and Europe-he conducted the Divertimento Ensemble performing Maderna’s Satyricon), Pasquale Corrado is also an orchestrator (for television and for lyric and pop singers), and composer of music for films (La terribile armata by Gherard Lamprecht). He also worked on a collaborative project with the architecture school Politecnico di Milano that led to the publication of a CD book set Architetture Sonore.
